I've been working out for sometime now, stamina was up, but these workouts made me feel like a beginner. Felt great, gave it my all, loads of fun, sore but ready to continue going.

I don't have enough good things to say about Elite. It didn't take long after joining for me to fall in love with the training center and end up being there all the time. The people are very welcoming and awesome to train with, the instruction is amazing, and it doesn't matter if you've done a thousand martial arts classes, or if this will be your first one; everyone gets a killer workout and learns a lot. Not to mention, as a student, Elite really helped bring my stress level way down. Whether you're looking to try a martial art for the first time, or looking for a new place to train, I highly recommend this place.

I've narrowed down my review to these features of Elite Training Center Hermosa Beach: 1. The attitude: This is a place that welcomes all: kids and adults, beginners and advanced. You'll find people there for different reasons... they want a workout… they want to know how to defend themselves… they want to learn Krav Maga, etc. But the commonality is that everyone cares for you. Instructors and fellow students want to help you learn and see you succeed. You'll learn how to switch on your "fierce mode" but with a smile. 2. The classes: Hermosa Elite offers Krav Maga and Kickboxing (Basic and Advanced), along with Youth classes. The benefit is that the classes are not overcrowded. When I first joined in summer of 2014 there were sometimes just two or three students, which was basically like a private session! Now that the school is growing, you'll find more friends to make. I've never felt that it was too crowded. Make sure to check out the class schedule and see if it fits with your schedule. Every so often, they will have informative seminars and organized trips. 3. The friends you'll make: I've met a lot of great people here. Like any team sport or activity, you'll feel like you're a part of family. There are seasoned fighters affiliated with the school, so you'll be a part of a family that no one wants to mess with. Plus you can go to their fights and cheer them on. 4. The facility: They keep the place top notch clean. I've been to hot yoga studios that make you wonder what's possibly living under the mats, but this place is clean. And if you're doing Krav Maga or Kickboxing, you're going to get sweaty and roll around on the mat. It's a good idea to wipe down your boxing gloves at the end of each session though. 5. The fees: Ok, so yes it's a contract. But considering I've joined gyms on contracts, I didn't see a problem with it. Like anything, there's always more good gear to buy. The instructors can help you find what you need. But it's a good idea to sit down and work this out for yourself carefully, depending on your financial situation. Truth be told, I have other hobbies that pull money out of my bank account exponentially faster than this activity. 6. The instructors: Yeah... these are the people you want in your life, if you're ever in trouble and surrounded by knife-wielding ninjas in a dark alley. The instructors at Elite are very informative, caring and want to see you grow. And really… sometimes it just feels good after a long day to kick some pads and throw some punches. Thanks to ETC Hermosa Beach, I don't look like a complete goof doing it… only a mild goof… still got more training to do.
