I highly recommend Folsom Martial Arts and wish I could give them more than just 5 stars. I had been looking for an ongoing self-defense class for over two years and the only thing I had been able to find was the typical Martial Arts studios where you wear the white uniforms and have to memorize moves. That was not at all what I was looking for. I wanted to learn how to protect myself on the street, in real life if I should ever be attacked. I was thrilled when I finally found Master Jason and Folsom Martial Arts. Everything we learn is practical self-defense skills that work. The way Master Jason breaks them down they are easy and fun to learn. Yes, I said fun. Master Jason is so positive and has such a fun and uplifting personality that he keeps our classes entertaining while we are learning our skills. It has been two years now and I don’t see myself ever quitting. I look forward to each lesson.

My son was one of the first students that Jason had at this location. He has been going since he was 4 years old, and now 11 years old David has amazingly improve his karate, Maui Thai and life skills. It has been so nice to see him grow next to Jason ( a life couch) and his Maui Thai school. David is now Jr. Black belt and Jason's assistant after a 2 day Leadership course and many years or hard work. I enjoy the school as well!!!. This pass months I join his renovated Maui Thai adult class, love it every time I go. A place full of energy and laughs - judge free zone- My 2nd son join the school at age 6 and loves it every time he in the class, always asking for more. Folsom Martial Arts Center to me a place where I see improvement every time I walk out the door and a family friendly place. I will totally recommended to any one. Just call and give it try. It won't hurt :)

The Folsom Martial Arts center has been great, I enrolled my daughter here in August and so far our experience has been absolutely awesome! Before joining I was concerned that Muay Thai may be a little to extreme for my daughter who is 6 years old. However this was not the case, my daughter absolutely loves the class and has great time attending. Master Jason’s teaching style is great, Jason and his coaches work really well with the kids and the kids get a great work out while having fun. I can’t wait to enroll my youngest daughter in the 6 year old class next year. I highly recommend anyone who is interested in placing their kids in martial arts to give the Folsom Martial Arts Center a try!

My daughter and I learn Muay Thai at the Folsom Martial Arts center and have been students since 2014. Jason approaches the classes holistically where, for the kids, he not only focuses on technique and physical fitness but also emphasizes on good habits and behaviors . He is teaching habits that would enable the kids to succeed not only in martial arts but also generally in life. The holistic approach is true for adults class too where apart from physical fitness and self defense, techniques for mental calmness under pressure are taught too. My daughter and I have both benefited a lot since we joined FMAC and most of all we have fun and that will keep us going back for more.

So. I have been to a couple other martial arts places and this is the only one that has met the vision I had of martial arts. I had been looking for a place that tought about the real world, real situations, and everyday life. I was looking for a real hands-on how to fight and defend. Not only this but my body gained muscle and I became the most fit I've been in the last 6 years. You could say I was looking for a lifestyle. Everyday here I find myself learning something new and improving. Teacher Master Jason Froehlich is like no one I have ever met. You will feel his experience and training through his teachings and rest assured that he is a master of this art. I am so thankful to have found Folsom Martial Arts Center and look forward to continue my training here and growing my mind, body, and soul:)
