I am a current member and student of Hwa Rang Do association. I train at this school and it's been one of the best decisions of my life to join. This is the greatest workout for body, mind, soul, and heart. KyoSaNim (Second Don Black Sash- very esteemed rank) Antonio Goodwin is a motivating instructor and friend. He guides you to your limits and never lets YOU let yourself give up. If you're looking to transform yourself or your child into a well rounded person and warrior, then come and stop by. Watch a class or better yet try a free class and talk with Mr. Goodwin or the students after! -Suriano Filmmaker, Martial Artist, Health Advocate

Training at the West Coast Hwa Rang Do Academy has provided me with the opportunity to not only learn valuable self-defense skills, but the tools to deal with adversity in life and the leadership skills to succeed in my professional life. Grandmaster Taejoon Lee has been a true caring mentor who tells you how it is and does not lie to you, if he sees something wrong you can correct or improve about yourself. Your performance on the mat will manifest your life issues, and forces you to deal and address these personal liabilities in a safe environment. As you improve in your martial skill, you cannot help but improve in your personal life, as a result of the lessons you learned in gaining this new skill. Plus the workout is awesome in every single class. It truly promotes health in both mind, body and spirit.

I've been training there for about five years. WCHRDA is so awesome so inspiring so amazing. I've grown into a better more responsible person.

I am not sure what Kool-Aid some of these people are drinking. However I was not very satisfied here. I did not find honor but I did find stories. "A man is judged by his deeds not his words" Do a little more research before thinking of joining. I personally found more professional schools.

I trained here between 4 and 12 years of age, and I can say that my time training with Master Henry Taejoon Lee was incredibly positive in how I live my life today and without the philosophies taught at this academy I would not be the person I am today. Both my sister and I received a black belt, Receiving that black belt is an accomplishment I am and always will be proud of, and the people and memories of Hwa Rang Do will long live in my memories.
