Love their kickboxing class! The Jue family and staff are so friendly and welcoming. I would recommend the workout to anyone!

As a young adult student for about two years at Jue's Taekwon-Do studio, I have witnessed how this studio cultivates excellence on every aspect of their teaching method. The head instructor, Master Gordon Jue, a world leader of Taekwon-Do, has an immense knowledge on this martial art and delivers the lessons in a concise, clear, and friendly manner. Master Jue's teaching style strikes the perfect balance between pushing you to the limit, cultivating discipline, and keeping a welcoming community. The rest of the teaching staff is also excellent and bring variety to the lessons while maintaining the highest quality of teaching. The result: dozens of students from all ages, genders, and ranks become world champions every year. The Taekwon-Do classes offer a 5-week cycle that covers everything from fundamentals and patterns to sparring and self-defense. Their program allows you to be the best in advanced patterns techniques as well as defend yourself in the street. On each class, assistant instructors make sure you learn the techniques required for your respective rank; I've never felt 'left behind' even in classes with multiple students. The installations are fantastic, with a nice floor mat that allows you to jump or fall without risking injury and a very useful back room with restrooms and storage space (the Pleasanton studio is very, very large, while the San Ramon is smaller for those looking for a tighter class size). The studio also provides tournaments and seminars (at a very reasonable cost) on a monthly basis, all of which are central to applying the learning during classes. The progression method is very clearly explained and straightforward based on established number of class hours, tournament requirements, and minimum ages that apply equally to all - nothing is left to chance in this regard. The logistics (signing up for class, tournaments, or exams) have always been very straightforward and seamless; they are perfectly organized. They offer several tuition packages that give incentive to those looking for long-term training and those who would like to enroll multiple members of their own family. A distinctive feature of this studio is there is no limit on the number of classes you can attend per week, which allows for flexibility on your schedule or to become world-class if you are interested in serious training. Not only that, but one can take classes in either the Pleasanton or San Ramon studio, giving plenty of opportunity to train according to your schedule and location. Altogether, Jue's Taekwon-Do is true to its mission of striving for the highest levels of excellence in the art. Through their teaching I have become more disciplined, physically fit (I lost 10 lbs when I joined!), and became part of a community of people who always search for self-improvement. I am proud to be one of Master Jue's studio and couldn't recommend this place enough.

Where do I even begin? This incredible establishment has genuinely changed my life. Gordon and Grace are simply the most amazing, dedicated, welcoming people, who run truly a professional and inspiring business. I began attending kickboxing classes about 3 years ago and loved it, however became pregnant and was asked by my doctor to take a break during pregnancy. After my son was born I just could not get my act together and make it to the classes/find childcare when not working. Eventually I realized how out of shape I had become and thankfully was able to return a few months ago. I will NEVER leave again! The classes are always high energy, unbelievable workouts. Each day/week different areas of the body (legs, arms, abs, etc.) are focused on, different music is played, different combinations and moves are used, sometimes there are punching bag focused classes or partner work, the diversity of exercise makes the experience engaging, exciting, and works your entire body. Everyone who attends the classes is positive, supportive, and friendly, it truly is a mini community. If you are interested in weight loss and overall health, these classes are exactly what you need. I have held an extra 8lbs of baby weight for the last year and after only 2 months of kickboxing I have lost 4 of those pounds and I am just getting started! But even more importantly my energy levels are higher, my confidence has grown, and I can throw a pretty mean punch! I adore Grace’s morning classes, to start the day with a kick butt hour of exercise and be done at 7am with the whole day ahead of you is the most energizing feeling. Gordon’s evening classes are intense and will have you drenched in sweat and preparing you for a very restful night sleep. And to top everything off, the monthly price point is incredibly generous given the number of classes offered, it’s simply the best deal in town and a place that will offer you health, fitness, and friendship. I cannot say enough positive things about the kickboxing program at Jue’s Taekwon-Do. Give it a try and see for yourself!

I have been training with Master Jue for over 15 years and his instruction is top notch since day 1. He has produce numerous of world champions along with teaching his students about life lessons. The students are there learning how to defend themselves, learning how to respect others, and self-discipline. In addition, he has assistant instructors to help new students during class.
