My son has tried several martial arts studios and practices and this one is the winner! The instructors give so much personal attention and he feels so encouraged and supported. It's a more relaxed environment that other martial arts we've done, but also MUCH more hands on and interactive than any others. I also love that belt advancement is more of an afterthought than a goal. Keeps them so much more focused on the practice and being in the moment, than thinking about where it's taking them in the future. Highly recommend!

I have been training under Adam and Daniel for a while now, and they are great teachers. I have a background in professional sports, and the training they offer meets all the criteria to be deemed professional. Both men have been successful competitors and are great instructors of both adults and children. Anyone looking to learn grappling in the Lamorinda area need look no further. Smaller class sizes lead to personal attention, everything they teach is scalable. If you are thinking about learning Jiu-Jitsu, sign up ASAP. See you on the mat

I know these instructors they are incredible people. Adam Dunkell is my all time favorite instructor ( out of approx 8 throughout my lifetime) because he will show you the details that make each move effective he will make sure you understand it. He will also push you to your best ( as any great coach will do ). You really just get the feeling that he really loves teaching because he does. I consider Ripper a friend and this guy is authentically a very nice guy. Very friendly and helpful and an expert in BJJ. P.S. the Instructors are Highly qualified and great people so I can guarantee the environment is family friendly and they will support you on your journey in BJJ.

Adam and Daniel are great pair of coaches who are meticulous in their teachings. They will greet you with a smile and open arms, are very encouraging, and patient with all their students. Every day I've gone, I've learned something new and they present you with technical drills that evolve down a path for defending yourself and submitting opponents in a slew of ways. I can't wait for my next lesson!

A spectacular little jiu jitsu place! A warm and encouraging team attitude and a nice spotless comfortable gym. I'm an adult beginner, and the kids classes seem so much fun I wish I could do those too. :)
