You can't a better place to spend time... If you looking for just a workout, find a gym. If you looking to learn how to attack, take Karate. If you want to develop Kinesthetic Intelligence, learn to be calm & relaxed when stressed or pressured, and coordinate your Mind and Body as one, then Ki Aikido. You'll find laughter and a light hearted attitude wrapped safety focused practice.

It's fun and friendly with great teachers. A beautiful art form that challenges not only your body but your mind. There is so much to learn. I always look forward to the next class.

It is the best martial art because it is just that an art. If you do need to use the techniques of the Aikido that you have learned from a 5th degree white belt (the second degree) level you will be able to take down muggers and the like with ease and run or combat a person trying to assault you again until he or she gives up on attacking you and leaves the area. I like that you are tested when the Sensei says that you are ready to test for the next level because he usually knows when you are ready to pass the level that you are just under. The Pershing and Des Peres Avenue (Des Peres is the first street off of Forest Park Parkway after Skinker if you are headed towards St. Louis -(Eastwards). This Ki Society Aikido dojo has the best Aikido style of any kind. There are a variety of "Aikido" styles, so that you may see signs for Aikido classes or an Aikido dojo in St. Louis but KI-Aikido has only one dojo in St. Louis. We have the best teachers (Sensei ), the best students, many of whom are professors, lawyers, microbiologists, or students. We are lucky to have a Ki-Aikido dojo here in St. Louis because there are only 16 in the U. S. Twice per year the head of the American Ki Society comes to our dojo to do testing and to just have fun with us. Come join the dojo as a new or returning member. We have people whom we practice varying in abilities from those with with no experience in any martial art to those with black belts in other forms of martial arts start Ki-Aikido and it is the same for all of them something unique, good for the body, mind, and the soul with a great group of people who frequent classes. There is also a Dynamic Meditation class to try out free on Monday evenings beginning at 8:00 p. m. that is only one hour long but is a eye-awakening experience. The joining fee to become a member of the dojo is minimal as is the monthly rate. So call 726-5070 for more information or directions to the dojo or stop by the dojo and have a free class anytime we are having a class (you can call for class days and times) at 6006 Pershing Avenue. Parking is provided and free for all.
