This school is a great school, there's no other way to look at it. Yes, the training is intense and the expectations are very high (from the moment you walk in the door), but that's TRADITIONAL martial arts training as it is and should be. Checking what you might not even realize is your ego at the door will give you warm welcome. It is very difficult to find a martial arts school that upholds the traditional teaching method and when you do, it is in your best interest to experience it with humility. A teacher's responsibility is to grow their students in skill and, most importantly, character. Students of character are ultimately a teacher's legacy. No true teacher means any ill will to someone learning their art. So come experience the our school. As a student of over ten years, I can attest that I started, at the beginning, knowing nothing about martial arts and have grown in all areas of my life under the careful instruction of Shih-Fu Kenneth Ware. In those ten years, as I've traveled, competed, and helped instruct, I've come to realize how fortunate I am to have found a school that upholds the traditional teaching style. I truly believe this is one of the best martial arts schools in the country.

On August 3, 2010, at the age of 38, I was diagnosed with a heart condition called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, a genetic disease that enlarges the lower left chamber wall of the heart muscle. After hearing my diagnosis, my life was in turmoil. Psychologically, my mind was in distress and I had no motivation. Darkness was hovering over my spirit and my mind. April 2015, I joined this school and met Si Fu Kenneth Ware. Si Fu is a great inspiration to me. He is humble, patient, and understanding, as well as one of the wisest men I have ever met in my life. His knowledge of Tai Chi is evident in every lesson. His zealous personality engages students and makes them want to learn more. When his students have questions or concerns regarding his instructions, he is gracious and patient in giving answers. Si Fu explains techniques to help each student understand to the best of his ability.

My son has been a student of Shi-Ye Ware since January of 2105. Since that time, he has leaned listening skills, discipline, how to focus, and he has gained a higher self esteem. Additionally, I attend a Tae-Bo Kickboxing class, free-of-charge, since my son attends Kung Fu class. I have lost 14 pounds and 1 dress size, since March, when I started taking the class. I read a review where someone was upset because they showed up 2 hours early to Tai-Chi class and was sent home. Upon returning, 2 hours later, they arrived in shorts for the class. My response is: Who does that? There are small boys and girls attending the early evening classes. I support Shi-Ye in his decision to have the grown-adult man return in 2 hours; as a parent, I would not want a stranger sitting in the waiting area, watching my child perform Kung-Fu. I also would not want to take a class, that required a lot of "kicking," with a man in shorts. No one wants to see, or smell, your sweaty man parts. I guess common sense isn't that common.

My son is 4 years old and he loves going to Kung Fu class at the center. He enjoys it so much that he actual practices at home without having to be asked. He is learning lessons about self-discipline, respect, and mental and physical strength. Anything that benefits the growth of the young man we are raising is worth the time. Shin-ye has won more competitions than can be counted as recently as last week many of the students placed first and won overall competition awards. That sounds like a place to be.
