I started training here over three years ago when I was looking for a place to learn real self-defense. Eclipse Jiu-Jitsu offers exactly that. The training is technical and doesn’t rely on physical fitness so size and strength don’t affect your ability to learn. Most importantly you learn actual fundamentals instead of fake moves which don’t work. I would recommend to anyone looking to actually learn to defend themselves.

Every time I’m in town, I train here. Whether you’re looking for martial arts training, self-defense, or general fitness, this is an exceptional school with an inviting atmosphere for women of all ages (it’s nice to not get hit on). The people who train here are respectful and focus on helping you learn, not making it a competition. The classes are rich in content (at least an hour) and led by the head instructor/owner. The head instructor not only explains techniques but also explains the why behind the movements. I definitely recommend Eclipse Jiu Jitsu to people of all skill levels.
