I went to a Halloween party here last year. My son and I had a blast. The head guy was very in tuned to the kids and we all had a lot of fun.

My Daughter loved her first month trial and we were really hoping to continue here. All of the instructors were great with her, even when she wasn't at her best (she's 3...). Classes for her age group are only offered at 4:15 or 4:30 during the week and Saturday mornings and they wanted us to sign up for a 6 month commitment. Because of my job I could only do those times during the summer. Plus, we didn't feel comfortable committing our 3-year-old to karate for 6 months. We're moving before the 6 months would be up and like any toddler, she may like it today, but could completely change her mind tomorrow. I spoke with Dojo regarding our concerns but we weren't able to come up with a solution. I was disappointed that we couldn't continue classes but we couldn't justify the cost when we weren't going to be able to fully utilize the services. It felt a little like a bait-and-switch. $15 for the first month but then you have to commit to 6 months which costs around $800. I'm hoping we can try again at another school once we move.

My son is three years old. Since starting at Dojo Karate in Rogers, only two months ago, he has improved by leaps and bounds. His balance, his dexterity, his manners, and his concentration have all vastly improved. The instructors, especially Mr. Gelhaye, have all been fantastic and personable. They are willing to work with families to make sure children get the most out of this experience. My son has already achieved his first belt rank and is even more motivated to make it to his next. I am very happy with the Dojo Karate in Rogers and I intend to continue to send my son so long as he chooses to participate.

My son and I love taking classes at Dojo Karate. Mr. Gelhaye, Master Salas and Mr. Kilgard make learning Karate fun and challenging. The emphasis on discipline and respect is invaluable for my child. The instructors adapt lessons to the various learning styles of the students. Karate is truly a sport for any age and fitness level. Class times are conveniently posted on line and they are open six days a week, so we are able to fit a few classes in each week. The assistant instructors are remarkably poised and are good role models.

I never thought I would ever have put my child in Karate, but after one class he was hooked. After two years, he still loves it and as a parent I love how it teaches so much more than other sports. All of the instuctors have diffrent approaches and all have great things to offer the children. I really have enjoyed watching my child at Dojo in Rogers and can't wait to see him continue to advance with such a great group of people and atmosphere..
