My kids have been attending since July 2017, it is now December 2017 and all three of them have improved their attitudes and discipline while learning how to defend themselves. I decided to start my journey with jiujitsu last month after watching them 3 times a week. I must say Professor Eric has just as much patience for his adults as he does the kiddos. All other coaches and members really make you feel like a family and build your skills with you. No one has made me feel unfit, all criticism is constructive and in my short time training I'm already starting to reap the benefits.

American Martial Art Academy is perfect for my son! Six months ago my son asked to join the academy for Jiu Jitsu, I agreed not because I know anything about Jiu Jitsu, but because he was an "A" student. During his training I began to see how well disciplined the team was and was very pleased, but the real eye opener was when I signed up for my son to compete in the Fuji Championship Competition. My son won 3rd place but the Academy and his team won 1st place in my heart! Thank you professor Erick Raposo and Coach Jim Fiore for your dedication and passion. Seeing you both at the competition I realized this is my son 2nd family. You care for and support the kids every step of a way. You've showed me the true meaning of Jiu Jitsu team and I am proud that my son is a part of the American Martial Art Team.

Jim Fiore is a wonderful person and fantastic teacher of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Definitely the place to train when in Mississippi.

We have been at AMAABJJ for 9 months and our son loves it. The classes are great for any age. Coach Jim and Coach Bernard really focus on teaching the kids without overwhelming them. They hold the kids accountable for their school work and give rewards for A's and B's to encourage the kids to try their best. Great family environment and true promotion schedule. I would recommend this school for any age or skill level.
