My second attempt to start studying this martial art. I want a learning experience, not just lifting weights or hitting something. Aikido teaches meditation, balance and is an amazing stress reliever after work. There are classes every day of the week. I go to evening classes after work. The atmosphere is inclusive and you will learn as much as you are willing to.

Sensei Rick Stickles is someone everyone should have the opportunity to learn from.

So I went to look at a few Aikido schools and this was one of them. I noticed that everyone in the place including blackbelts was a little heavy in the britches. The teacher just seemed miserable up there like he was being bothered teaching Aikido. Compared to the other Aikido schools I will be knocking this off my list.

ASNJ is not simply a dojo, it is a community of martial artists, both young and old, which closely follow the teachings of O-Sensei. I have visited and trained in many dojos in New Jersey, and have never before encountered one that beams with this much positive energy. Its teachers are professional, and dedicated to their students.
