Great school and Great teacher!! Walter knows how to breakdown techniques very easily for guys to understand and execute. This is not your typical commercial gym. Coaches here will focus on their students skill level and help them reach a higher level of the discipline; whether Muay Thai or BJJ. If you are new to the MMA world or martial arts, I can't stress enough how great this gym is. No egos and everyone will work with you. And if you're already a fighter, you will be at a higher level you never thought you could reach. awesome classes and most importantly to me, all his training is applicable for the real world. Walter teaches you the most effective ways to survive. Please....GO CHECK IT OUT!!!

I've been training here for some time now in Muay Thai and my experience has been great. Classes are challenging (in a good way) and really focus on teaching/reinforcing the key techniques and combos required to build a strong foundation in the art of 8 limbs. The overall class camaraderie is very friendly and most are willing to help each other out for the greater good of the group. Walter, our good-natured, patient and very knowledgeable instructor is at the helm to make sure everything is running smoothly––all while providing high-level instruction, corrections, and practical tips to students to further develop their progress. Boxing mitt, Thai pad, and kick shield work will occur every class to help you hone your punches, elbows, knees, and kicks. Once proficient, students will put their skills to practical use via more advanced partner striking drills and light sparring. If you are nervous, don't be–the environment is very controlled and safe. All students are required to wear the appropriate amount of protective gear (shin guards, cup, mouth guard, 16 oz. gloves, etc.) for the activities being performed that day. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is also offered but I can't speak too much to it since I only tried it once. I did enjoy the class, but decided to focus on Muay Thai; there are a lot of BJJ students that seem to enjoy it. This is the real deal. I highly recommend it.

I decided to pursue martial arts for my Senior Project and asked if I could join in on the classes here at Fight and Fitness, and I found the people there to be so welcoming and passionate about the sport. Walt was so helpful with my project. He got me excited about the sport, and his dedication to martial arts not only shone through in my interviews with him, but also in the praise that his students gave of him when I talked to them. I was inspired by the students who worked together to make the environment so encouraging and cohesive.

Training here is easily the best decision I have made all summer. Walt is an incredibly skilled fighter and instructor. With a bit of time and hard work I saw amazing results in my muay thai skills. Every class I'd walk away with something new. This gym is very welcoming to all levels of experience. Members are extremely encouraging and also very constructive. Very good environment, lots of positive energy and fantastic instruction. Sparing here is very controlled focusing on technique rather damage. The gym/mats are kept very clean. I absolutely recommend this gym for anyone who wants to get in shape, learn self defense, alleviate stress or even eventually compete. Great place, great people, great instructor.
