BEWARE PARENTS: Croton Karate claims they are not affiliated with grand master Frank Maria a convicted sexual predator, but the instructor and his wife trained with him for many years that is where his Kung Fu skills came from. Oh its a coincidence that both schools have the same name and the same teacher. Beware parents when choosing a school. Draw your own conclusions.

This is the second martial arts school my son has attended -- the first he attended for six years, and this he has attended for three years; and I must say, this is a serious, yet supportive school. This school is not about being a money machine, like some other local martial arts schools. Their students are respected and taught with both compassion and discipline. Parents can see everything in this well-lit dojo, and what they will see is masterful instruction. Sensei Doherty is a highly respected member of the community, and an excellent teacher.

Great martial arts school! Students learn traditional Goju ryu technique as well as practical self defense. Sensei Doherty is a great teacher, both for children and adults. And there are No Testing Fees, no belt fees, no hidden fees! Which means... you can be sure that the belts have been earned through hard work and acquisition of skill.

Excellent school run by patient, father of two Peter Doherty. This Dojo has everything for all ages and abilities. Full disclosure here.. my entire family train there. The kids love it and have learned discipline, self defense and the benefits of a healthy body and mind. All students are polite, confident and respectful without drowning out their personalities. I have studied there and it's a great way to get in shape for adults or kids. I lost 4 inches off my waist and added 3 to my chest within the first year of working out there.I would strongly recommend this dojo to anyone in Northern Westchester area looking to get in shape, learn a valuable skill without the drudgery of the gym.
