I'm not sure what that whole "bait and switch" review is about. (just look at the Facebook reviews) They clearly didn't talk to Dave. I've been with him for over a year, and he's been very flexible and informative with my Karate contract. If you're sick and can't come to class for a month or so, he usually just credits you those classes you missed. He usually lets people out of their contract if they experience an unforseen hardship too. Dave is a great guy and is well known within the community. If that person truly signed up for a promotional offer, then I'm inclined to believe that Dave was very clear that once the promotion is over it will kick in to the regular cost - just like a Hulu subscription or literally any other service. Dave has a very large, and growing, karate class because he's honest, knowledgeable, personable, great with children, and cares very deeply for his students - of which I am one. This dojo is well run, and to say there was a "bait and switch" is simply not accepting responsibility for failing to terminate the contract after the promotional offer ended. My advice to anyone reading this who is concerned is to go to a class (Karate class is free to watch), and ask the parents of children who attend Karate there to see how their experience has been. I can say with almost 100% certainty that everyone single one of them will firmly stand beside Dave and his dojo and verify, without hesitation, that his business practices are very sound.

Bait and switch! Initially priced at $69 for 6 weeks, then jumps to $1,400 with no warning.

Sensei David is a great instructor. He's patient, understanding, and encouraging with young and old students alike. I would recommend his school for anyone looking to get into martial arts, self defense, or just a fun and different way to exercise.
