So glad I started taking my young daughter here! If you want teachers who have a great balance of teaching fun and self discipline these are your guys! She loves going to class and carries over the excellent life lessons that Mr. Lundberg instills into her daily life. Avon Martial Arts Academy truly contributes to the well being of our family. I don't mind participating in fundraisers to keep small businesses alive especially when they are doing such a good service for our youth. They can use the funds for what they please. Also, sometimes their phone doesn't work because of Frontier's inability to fix the line reliably to withstand rainstorms. Keep trying! These guys are great!

I have left several messages over the past couple years, but I have yet to receive a return phone call. Very disappointing!

Our son trained here for ten hours plus a week for five years. He competed nationwide, and took 3rd place at Nationals. Unfortunately, the owner is more interested in earning money than he is in the well-being of his students. Our son took a leave of absence to attend college, and when he wanted to return to the school (he's a second degree black belt) the owner suddenly decided that there was going to be a $100 re-enrollement fee. Many others had left and come back and were not charged a re-enrollment fee. When I questioned the policy, I was told that if I didn't like it, I should find another school. There is NO transparency when it comes to fees. Even if you call and ask how much per month it is to train there, you will not get a straight answer. The kids did fund-raisers for years for the school, supposedly to buy mats for the floors....no one ever saw the money and there still aren't mats six years later!! That's completely unethical.

I went here for six years and earned my 1st degree black belt when I was 14, I enjoyed going here 3 to 5 times a week, making new friends, teaching kids the art. Avon Martial Arts made me the man I am today.
