Excellent instruction!! I hold several black belts in other systems, and I like the level of respect giving to other systems. There is no bad mouthing other styles. I feel like my grappling game has already improved in just a month there. Strongly recommend this school for young and old.

Despite competing in athletics in high school and intramural sports in college, I've never enjoyed working out in a traditional gym. Being a member of TFTC Academy has been essential for my physical and mental fitness since I joined in 2007. Classes are never boring, the instructors are constantly teaching me new skills and the training partners constantly push me to achieve. The Academy has been able to create a true community of learning and respect among all those who get on the mat.

I was back and forth about starting for over 5 years. One reason, I was a little intimidated, by the talent I know TFTC has and the other was because I was waiting until I was in "better shape". I am glad I finally decided to jump in. I feel like I am now in the best shape of my adult life. Everyone has been professional and welling to teach and help me grow. Anyone reading this that has been on the fence… Just come jump in. Everyone is there to help you grow. Now the kids class… All I have to say is WOW!!!, I have had my son in other martial arts classes and he has never been as excited to go as he is now at TFTC. He looks forward to class and loves the staff. To the entire TFTC family…. THANK YOU! I look forward to continuous growth with you all.

Neal and the crew at TFTC in Clayton are great. I first went in when I moved to NC and rolled around with the guys. They were all highly skilled and everyone was courteous. Neal's opened his place for me to train UFC vet Tim Boetsch for his upcoming bout in July. Neal has also given some great technique tips that will come in handy. If you looking for a tightly knit group that are skilled and want to feel safe I highly recommend TFTC as the place to go in the Clayton area.

Great atmosphere for learning! They have a really diverse bunch of people with a full range of skills, gender, weights and natural athletic ability. There are classes specifically for beginners which is a really nice way to get people introduced to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (or kickboxing if that's your thing) where they can learn with other new people. Very female friendly atmosphere, there are almost always multiple ladies training at any given time. Everyone at the gym is very helpful and always willing to answer questions. The instruction is top notch, so you know that you (or your kids) are going to be learning from the best around.
