I can't say enough good things about this place. Yes, your child will learn self defense, get exercise and have a great time doing it. You can tell that the instructors love what they are doing, love the kids and are having fun. The true value is the character development though. The instructors offer so much more than self defense skills. They stress honesty and respect and setting goals. We are constantly complimented on my daughters manners and self confidence thanks to this program. Mr. D. (and the rest of the instructors) seem to zero in on what a child needs and they do everything they can to provide it. My daughter is on the Autism spectrum and has ADHD. I have seen her flourish and grow so much in the past few years and I attribute it all to Velocity ATA. We can't thank them enough.

My son has been attending karate classes here for just about 9 months. I'm honestly not sure why he wanted to start but I am SUPER glad he did. The instructors are top notch and he's learning so many other things besides how to punch, kick, and block. Each testing cycle they focus on a life lesson which is also teaching the kids how to be good people. His lead instructor even went out of his way to go to my son's school for show & tell one day! They did a presentation together and my son got to break a wood board in front of his classmates! I absolutely love, love, love that he's involved in this! We also had his 7th birthday party at his center! Everything was planned extremely well and all his friends really enjoyed the lesson and games that they played. I would HIGHLY recommend checking out classes!

My children (ages 8 & 10) took classes here for almost 2 years. As their taekwondo skills increased, so did their self-confidence. My incredibly shy daughter started talking much more, engaging adults and family members she never would have. My sons would come home grinning ear to ear when they succeeded more than they thought they could. Such great positive changes. I can never thank Mr. Duczman enough for the part he and ATA have played in the development of my children. I (Jenny Stanek) have also taken classes here for the last 2 years. It has been nothing but a wonderful experience from day one. I was a stay-at-home Mom for 8 years and this was the first thing I truly did for myself. I didn't ever believe I could do the things I am now doing. Not only have I found a great new passion in my life, but the sense of comraderie and family is more than you could ever ask for.
