This school teaches both adult and adolescent classes, offering Jeet Kune Do, Kempo, and Musha Ryu Aikijutsu classes for general self-defense, as well as training tailored to police and military. I don't know how many years of combat and training experience total that the many instructors possess, but it's certainly over a century. The head of the school, Professor Gary Dill, is a veteran of the U.S. Military, and has served in law enforcement for years. He's definitely a martial artist who cares more about his art than profit or personal gain, and cares that instructors under him aren't just learned, but competently able to defend themselves in the real world. Though this is a no-sport dojo, the lessons taught in most of the classes I've attended here are applicable to both competitive kickboxing and grappling sports. Beyond simply being certified, the instructors are a tight-knit group who are constantly sharing knowledge and improving their own skills; from the bottom to the top, the attitude taught here is that no one is too good to improve! Personally, every time I walk out of one of the classes at this dojo, I feel more confident about defending my self, and my family, on the street, and that is my number one motivation for training. "No-nonsense" is a phrase used often at this school, and though they have a lot of fun here, they mean it! If you walk in the door, expect some serious training!
