Definitely an awesome place!!! Came here just get my cardio back, and I ended up with a family. My fitness is its best it has been in years, have won two amateur fights in muay thai, and occasionally dabble in Jui Jitsu and MMA. The coaches definitely have your best interest in mind. The general vibe is that we are all here to help one another get better :)

Now that I’m moving out of state and my training at this gym has come to an end, I wanted to give a huge endorsement for any potential clients that may be wondering about this place. I cannot speak highly enough about it. The trainers are on point, and make every effort to help people reach their full potential. They are awesome instructors that really want to see everyone improve, regardless of age, skill level, etc. In addition to the training staff, most of the students are willing to help out as well. Everyone I trained with here helped out a lot. Also, I started training here with only a small amount of experience about 2 weeks before my 43rd birthday – by my calculations that made me one of about ten old guys in this place and I was apprehensive to say the least. What I found was that I had nothing to worry about, it’s a great place to train even if you’re not a 25 year old aspiring UFC fighter. Not much more to say. Go try it out and you’ll probably be hooked like I was!!!

A former coworker invited me to try a class at Mark Cherico's Marital Arts & Fitness Academy last January. I have been hooked ever since. I started knowing nothing about martial arts and was not in the best of shape. The instructors are talented and passionate at what they teach. The classes are well organized. The more advanced students are always willing to work with us newbies to help us understand and improve our technique. No one is judgmental at this gym. I have learned a great deal since I started. I enjoyed the instructors and the gym so much that I signed my son up shortly after I joined. He has also be taking classes at the academy for almost a year now. At the age of five he is learning important life skills such as discipline, self defense and fitness. My three year old daughter even takes the occasional class. It is a family type atmosphere. Your fellow students will be like a second family in no time at all. Thanks for a great gym and programs.

I have been learning from Mark and his staff for well over 4 years.. When I joined I had never trained a day in my life and was in the worst shape of my life but the staff at the academy helped me come up with a diet and training that was beneficial to me, the helped give me that extra push when I wanted to throw in the towel!! I have made many new friends there and have many memories watching many of the coaches achieve greatness in the octagon!! They have some of the best fighters in the area who are all willing to help you as you are learning! The gym is very clean, neat and well maintained.. Wether your a beginner just looking for some self defense training like I was or looking to take your training to the next level then Mark Chericos martial arts & fitness academy is the place to go!!

I have worked with Mark for the last four years. He is a fantastic Instructor and is really knowledgeable about all aspects of Martial Arts. Mark, as well as all of his Instructors, are particularly good with the Kids. His Academy will make a real difference in your life and I would encourage anyone to try a free lesson.
