We enrolled our youngest son Roman in the Little Warriors program over a year and a half ago. He loved it so much that he got our older boys interested. We now have 3 orange belts that are dedicated to karate. John is a great role model. He teaches a martial art as well as instills discipline that they carry with them outside of the school. We have recommended Upper Valley to our friends and family. It is an awesome experience that our children will never forget!

"To be in good moral condition requires at least as much training as to be in good physical condition." - Jawaharial Nehru Not all martial arts studios are equal. There is a discernable difference between the schools that treat martial arts as aerobics, as combat sport, and as art. A studio that focuses on exercise will lose your interest once you attain you physical goals and join the collection of cardio equipment, dvds, and expired gym memberships. A studio that looks at martial arts as a combat sport has lost touch with its roots and purpose eventually becoming a school occupied by people who crave only the spectacle of sport combat and competition with others. Lastly there are the schools that focus on the art and cultivate the spirit in connection with the body and the mind. This is one of those schools that knows where its art and style comes from and maintains a core system of values. The instructors and students celebrate the history and traditions of their art and style in everything they do. Their key concepts are reinforced and built upon in every class and every exercise. By maintaining a place in a world wide federation dedicated to the preservation of its technique and traditions, a consistency of training is ensured wherever it is practiced. You will be hard pressed to find a school that will harness and build all aspects of a person the way this one will. If you have contemplated martial training before for either yourself or you children, I suggest you come by and try them out.
