I began with the Tai Chi Chung lessons and then progressed to the 8 Martial Arts program. I trained for several years and now have a black belt and am an assistant instructor. I am in good health, have a positive outlook on life and am enjoying the training. I just turned 71 and am gratefull for the higher belts teachings.

I am 70 years old. I have been active all of my life, but have come to the realization that there are certain activities I can no longer participate in. Training at Oom Yung Doe has been challenging, and has enabled me to maintain my strength, mobility, flexibility and coordination. What I like best about the school are the instructors. They don't just tell you what to do. It's what I call show and teach...every lesson and evey movement that is taught is first demonstrated by the instructor.

I love training at the school of Oom Yung Doe! Have been a student for a little over three years and just recently tested for 1st degree black belt. In that small amount of time , I feel as though I have accomplished more then I could have ever hoped for! I feel stronger, in better shape, more focused and a general sense of well-being on a day-to-day basis. The level of instruction is excellent and you will get a lot of individual attention. Whether you have never stepped into a practice room, are in poor health, or are a conditioned athlete you wil be challenged and encouraged to continue as you see your health improve. I believe that anyone who wants to better themself has an equal chance. The opportunity is available to anyone by stoping by a school, speaking to an Instructor and signing up! The rest is up to you but if you are serious you will receive a lot of support along the way (as I know I sure have).

I trained in the school in the past. I think it will get you into supreme physical shape and condition. However, I moved on to studying yang style tai chi. I am blessed to have found something that is a perfect fit for me. Anyone interested in Oom Yung Doe, I say go for it. You will be in great shape! It is expensive. Also, look at other schools and other types of martial art instructors. My teacher doesn't require contracts, no uniforms, no trophies, no dogma and just 15 dollars a class. My teacher studied with Ben Lo.
