I trained with Mr. Prieto for several years from a young boy to my graduation of highschool. The man instilled into me a sense of self-confidence and discipline that I lacked in the environment I grew up in. 10 years later I find myself living in the center of Tokyo with Japanese people marveling at both my skill at karate and bo staff...taking videos of me in the park. But it is more than that. Mr. Prieto is the reason I began to understand the importance of routine exercise. My mind and body are strong because I followed this wise man as a young man. (attained first degree black from him). No doubt, one of the reasons I succeeded so much in high school and university was due to this man's guidance. He also stressed a high sense of morality and was prone to anger at students who expressed forms of malevolence like a true master would. Lastly, he both emphasizes the importance of technique AND improvisation. Japanese people are stunned at the creativity of my improptu kata (forms) since they are usually used to memorizing a pattern. Moreover, the one time I was assaulted, Mr. Prieto's training helped me not be a victim. If you want a role model for your children who will help them blossom into contributing members of society, go here!

My husband, my son, and my daughter learn karate at this studio. This is an exceptional facility and Mr. Preito and Mr. Austin are the best instructors for karate in The Woodlands.

They are rude and not very honest. What kind of role models are they when they bully and call names? VERY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. No real leadership skills. Martial arts are to teach to have dignity and self control, to avoid fighting until absolutely necessary. Not these guys! What would Chuck Norris think!! SMH

This is a GREAT studio! My son loves it here. He has gained self confidence, has great self esteem and has gotten stronger physically and mentally. Mr. Prieto is a one of a kind instructor with amazing calmness, control, and patience, especially with the youngest kiddos. Ages start 3 1/2 and go through adult ages. Wonderful for kids!!!! Can not say enough about this studio. They really care about you and your children. Within a year, they have become family to my family and me. Give them try, you won't be disappointed!
