I consider McCall MMA family. I moved here in 2014 as a blue belt and was searching for a school to continue my lifelong journey in BJJ and found it! The owner, Professor Darren McCall is not only a black belt in BJJ but also in Judo. There are a variety of top notch belts of all ranks and sizes to match your style of BJJ. Technique is key in BJJ and that is what is emphasized. What i found particularly impressive is that the school teaches techniques geared towards all sizes and styles of BJJ to add to your game. Though I am 150 lbs and the professor is 200s+, his ability to teach a "small" persons game is quite impressive. In summary, I found a place I call family here and will continue to grow my BJJ game. Competition, hobby, or fitness, this is the place to train at! Make your BJJ home here and you will see what i mean! See ya on the mats!

I've trained for a year at the Gracie Academy in NYC and also have visited a few other "name brand" locations throughout the USA, and paid a huge premium for just being one more student in the crowd. Most people who are seeking training in MMA, Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, or muay thai know that what matters most is the quality of instruction, a sense of belonging/community, and personalized attention with the black belts. In a nutshell, McCall MMA is a value, especially if you are just starting out. Fortunately for those in the know, McCall Mixed Martial Arts is an excellent choice, and I recommend it. Registration to the training is ongoing, affordable, and thankfully, no contracts.
