This is an awesome school, and they have amazing coaches. The masters and instructors are amazing! They help us become the best we can be! :)

This academy has a huge increase on my health. The money can be a pain, but my health and strength has gotten better. I was the wimp in gym doing only 1 push up when the assignment was to do 30, I failed. Then when I wanted to take self defense of some sort, I chose this place. Then after only 2 weeks in this school, I could do more push ups than the people who made fun of me. Once my parents found out about this, they thoughts hat they should sign up all of my other 3 siblings ( which hasn't happened yet ). Summarizing, this is a place to help your health, for you to learn, and for you to have fun ( if everyone does the exercises without any problems and we finish all of our activities, we play fun games at the end. )

Have been going there for several years. Started with Master Kim. Eventually when Master Kim retired, the business was turned over to a relative. We were told the rates we were getting as long time students would stay the same. Then eventually, there was only going to be "a little increase" for original students. Then when it came time to actually renew, we had the same INCREASE as everyone else. Their word was not honored. Also they had "Bring a Friend" week, the top 2 people were supposed to get "something", a pizza party was mentioned, maybe a free t-shirt. Again, never saw it. I could have taken a slight increase, or at least IF they were honest, or looked for another place back then. They deal with alot of kids, I would think their word would be important. They also made the entire class do 30 more push-ups", or run "30 more laps" because "somebody" dropped a knee and touched the floor, instead of having the ones NOT doing what they were told, do the EXTRA. POSITIVE reinforcement for doing good, NOT pitting peers against peers. Exercising, building up strength, stamina...all part of training, but teaching them what they need to advance, I think, should be more than occasionally. And then, don't just tell us that, "you're not quite ready", correct them, show them, don't wait to find out you're not ready to advance, and think you're doing it right. The extra money I could handle, the lack of what we consider training, I can't. The other review, that Master Kim is the "real deal", I fully agree. There was also "more discipline", which is also part of Martial Arts, along with respect, self-esteem, discipline...

What's all this? I bet I could beat everyone here up with no taekwondo skills.

Our daughter has been attending this wonderful school for over 1 ½ years now and the original goal was only for self-defense. She has fallen in love with the sport and has started competing in tournaments. The masters are excellent at what they do, they are highly skilled, friendly and patient with the kids. Our daughter has not only learned taekwondo, but has also learned respect, discipline, and most important to us the anit bullying awareness. If you’re in the area and looking for a great school for your kids to attend, look no further.
