Awesome place for kids to learn discipline and self defense! The instructors are very welcoming and are excellent at teaching! Definitely recommended!

I dropped in for a class and they did not even charge me a drop in fee, despite my not being a GB member. They welcomed me warmly and I had a lot of fun. The head instructor, Joaquin, is very knowledgeable and a very good teacher; the way he explains techniques is very effective. He is a black belt. The school itself is beautiful. The mats are very clean and have good cushioning. There is air conditioning. There is a bathroom and cubbies for gear. Everything is top notch. I would recommend this school to anyone interested in jiu jitsu or martial arts in the area.

My family and I recently moved to the Cypress, TX area from Louisiana. I had been training for a year and was unsure how the transition to a new Gracie Barra would be. Professor Joaquin welcomed my son and I as if we were his own family. His instructions are packed with technical knowledge and first hand experience. He is extremely patient with all students and can easily transition from teaching kids, to beginner adults, to advanced adults. Gracie Barra promotes the Jiu Jitsu for Everyone lifestyle and Gracie Barra Cypress more than lives up to it. I strongly recommend Gracie Barra Cypress.
