It's next to impossible to list all of the amazing qualities of this dojo. Sensei Eden is truly an incredibly gifted martial artist and instructor alike. I've been training privately with him for years and I am always astounded with his ability to consistently challenge me and show that martial arts is really a way of life. And unlike many other martial arts instructors, he actually lives by a code of honor that carries over into his family life as a father. I've known many individuals who have gone to him for personal advice as he is amazing when it comes to helping others and problem solving. Never have I met someone that eats and cooks so nutritionally for his family and exercises to the point of having cardiovascular abilities of that of squirrel. He'll run miles around you even after you've been throwing and grappling for over an hour. I've even offered him a beer and he always politely declines stating that "it's just not good for the body or the mind."
His skill level as a martial artist is practically mind blowing! Sensei can pull out a sword and cut an object in two and have it back in it's scabbard before you've blinked. His stand-up sparring is beautiful. His body throws & takedowns make you wonder why he never coached Olympic Judo. And his Aikijujutsu? Good Lord! It's on a whooooole other level that most people can only dream of. When I told him this, he stated, "you can't wish for skill...you work for it." And it was as a humble of a response as one could say it. And his grappling and Jiujitsu? Oh.....my.....God! I've seen Sensei do some phenomenal grappling and I always knew he was good. But about 10 years ago in Houston Texas, I saw him do a demonstration that made me realize just what kind of an expert he is. There were some martial art practitioners that came to see his Sensei demonstrate. But they had reservations about the efficacy of the techniques he demonstrated. He offered to show them personally. But instead, Sensei Eden stepped forward. I was slightly nervous about what was going to take place. But before we knew it, he had 2 guys pinned on the ground practically in tears. I didn't even know what he did or how he did it. When I asked him what technique that was, he just replied very calmly, "not technique...adaptation." I knew then I had found the group of people I was going to devote my training to. And after all these years, I've never looked back.
So if you're a beginner like I was, you'll see how Sensei's technique and the private training atmosphere, (along with the incredible subtle beauty of his private dojo), are both diamonds. The price can't be matched and if you are truly interested in learning all aspects of combative science, you've found one of the rarest dojo's in the United States. Having trained with Don Angier, the Gracie Family, Pat Hendricks, Mike Swain, Frank Shamrock and Jeff Delaney, I can say, without a doubt, that THIS is the dojo you've been waiting for. If you're an advanced martial artist (or have experience), you'll see like I did how Sensei's technique will take you to a WHOLE other level you never knew possible. Good luck on your journey and I hope to see you on the mat soon.
