Danny is a top-notch instructor. His ability to work with kids is refined and it works. Brazilian Jujitsu has done wonders for the little ones. I would definitely recommend this dojo for those who are seeking a solid place to train long-term

Lucia Vasquez: you should just go into the dojo. Danny-sensei is a busy guy. I know him personally and respect him a lot, and he is not only a great guy, but also a great instructor/sensei. He pretty much manages and instructs everything on his own now. (His brother used to teach at the dojo together, but he had to move to out of state because of his job.) If you want your son to learn the real martial arts, this is the place to let him practice, but if you prefer more "business" martial art, where they charge you more for their brand name, go for it. Don't just assume the owner has a receptionist who can respond to you within 24 hours. This dojo has the real spirit of budou rather than commercialized martial arts or even just a sports/competition rather than bodou.

Danny Huntsman is an amazing teacher. My 2 unsure sons 13 and 15 yrs. were fazed right in the adult class from day one. The class members embraced and taught them as they practiced moves and explained and the teacher Danny worked with them personally. The class is a couple younger near 14ish to early forties with 20's being the majority. They learned so much after class in the open grappling. The best comment was: "Even if people are bigger than me - I do not have to be afraid". The realization that older doesn't mean more prepared or scary. They are taught if you can walk away that is better but to know how to handle yourself in any situation.

Took my son here after trying different places around the valley. It was fantastic. Classes are small and Danny is a fantastic teacher who is great with the kids. This is not a "Pay for belt" shop and they don't try and lock you into contracts or charge unnecessary garbage. I would highly recommend this to parents who are looking for a good place for kids to learn great values.

This was the best martial arts experience I have had so far. Coach Danny is very passionate about Kyokido, Judo, Jujitsu, and is always open to learning more. This dojo balances tradition, such as Katas (or memorized and choreographed stances), and an open learning and training environment. Everyone is so kind, and helpful. There everyone feels like a team, and I have made some lifelong friends there. Overall, this dojo is one of the best I have ever been to and I highly recommend trying it out.
