Our daughter started taekwondo at Mr. Baker’s academy over 3 years ago. She is now a black belt instructor and is dedicated to this institution and it’s values. Our son also attends the academy and we have realized so many additional rewards from these programs, over and above the tradition instruction. They have both increased their self-confidence and learned values of hard work and perserverance. While the curriculum is focused around the martial arts and refining the techniques, the entirety of the program and the life lessons is can provide your children and even adults is invaluable.

My kids love it here! They are learning life lessons, not just TaeKwonDo.

Julian loves his Taekwondo training. I like the team work and multitasking it is teaching him. At Julian's 2nd lesson the instructors knew his name. Everyone is very patient and the kids learn at there own pace.

I was referred to Virginia TaeKwondDo & Jiu-Jitsu Academy from a co-worker and can say without a doubt that they have exceeded all my expectations. Not only have my 8-year old twins received great technical training from Mr. Baker and his instructors at one of the best rates in the area, they are also learning about leadership, working as a team and about discipline. Very military friendly! I would highly recommend the academy to any of my friends.

As a parent and your child is getting older, you realize that you can't always be there to help. Mr. Baker instills a value, I feel, that we have lost when I was a child. He encourages my child to use words first, but if that does not work, then (with my permission) my child may use what he has learned in his studio. It is a positive, pro-active way to help my child defend himself against bullies. Luckily, he has not had to use it but if it comes his way he will know what to do.
