I have been going to Kaizen with my daughters since they opened What a great place to train Prof Wyman doesn't just want your kids to be good in jiujitsu he wants them to be good people. He proves that everyday with the way he holds himself and how he runs his school

I, like most people, am skeptical by nature; especially when it comes to service related industries. I don't go around passing out 5-Star ratings but in the case of Kaizen Martial Arts, I had to make an exception. Professor Wyman and his wife are just good people! It shows in the cleanliness of the school, how they interact with their students and more importantly how they treat their guests. Kaizen Martial Arts is not my regular school but if you walked in on the day that my son and I were there, you would have never known that. Professor Wyman treated us as honored guests, shared his knowledge openly and worked our butts off just like he did with his regular students. If I can pass along one piece of advise to anyone interested in training Jiu-Jitsu or even passing through the VA Beach area, do yourself a favor and go by Kaizen Martial Arts. The level of instruction is world class! You won't be disappointed!!!!!!!!

I have personally known Professor Phillip Wyman for many years. We served together in the Marine Corps during Operation Iraqi Freedom which is also where we began training together. Throughout the years, I have studied under Professor Wyman in a variety of disciplines and settings. He is the most professional instructor I have studied under. His teaching techniques are among the best I have experienced and I use his principles when I teach myself. Professor Wyman and his wife Jessica have been close friends of mine for nearly 10 years and they treat every guest and friend as their own family. I highly recommend Kaizen Martial Arts to anyone in the Virginia Beach area or anyone passing through. You will always feel welcome and the instruction under Professor Wyman is unmatched.

Kaizen is the second Jiu Jitsu academy I've attended and the best. Detailed lesson plans, intense warm ups (that'll melt those unwanted pounds away), and an attentive professor who values each one of his students, make Kaizen a top notch institute. Kaizen is a very friendly and family oriented environment, that makes it a great experience whether you're participating in a class or spectating. There's a free trial period, so if you're interested in the art of Jiu Jitsu for sport, self defense, or exercise Kaizen delivers on all fronts.
