I have no problem with the instruction albeit a little intense for my 5 year old. The issue with this school is the financial trap they put you in. They advertise 4 classes for free as a trial but once you begin they waive a significant registration fee if you join after only two classes. My son seemed to enjoy his classes so we decided to join and did sign a contract. After less than two weeks of classes it was evident that my son was not mature enough and began to perform taekwondo on kids at school. My family quickly inquired via email about our options and recommendations but the school never responded. Additionally, while seemingly a nice man, Master Kim is not accessible due to his back to back class schedule. I explained the situation with the receptionist but she would not budge on their policy. In the end, while what the school did was within the letter of the contract the school is very much business and money orientated and in my opinion traps parents in long term contracts without adequate assessment time. In the end we were stuck with two month of tuition at well over $250. I would not recommend.

I really like this school. The masters at TMA have various levels of expectations for their students with regards to their age and maturity level. My (adult) training includes strict form adherence to learn proper technique while my children are expected to follow directions and master the basic concepts. The masters are very good with the kids. If you want boot camp like instructors, TMA is not the place for you. Also, I take some responsibility in my children's training and practice with them which helps us all develop our skills.

My children have inally gotten their first degree black belts and have learned so mtuch from TMA. The masters are great and the masters and instructors are all certified degree black belts in korea. They provide a great variety of marterial for peopel of all ages. Tiny tigers learn the basics of the basics and once they reach yellow belts they learn with the big kids. For adults they are more strict and provide everybody with a good work out by the end of the day. I get tired just looking at all the crazy stunts they do on the mats. I am amazed that with how young the instructors are and how advanced their skills are as well.
