Love this place. Was looking to get my daughters involved in karate for self defense & after touring many local karate establishments found myself at Comet. Both love the instruction & trust the instructors. I knew next to nothing about BJJ before (as a child took many other forms of karate) & now believe that fighting from the ground/wrestling out of an attack is probably the absolute best training for woman today. Travis, Sean & some of the less regular instructors are all so good & really create an amazing atmosphere where my girls can learn. Really, I can say enough good & feel fortunate to have found this Comet.

Sean is super nice and is very patient and clear in his instructions. It’s a great environment for learning jiu jitsu and women’s self defense. The other people in the class are nice and encouraging. Overall a very good experience.

I've been doing BJJ at Comet for about 2 and a half months now and have already learned a ton. Travis and Sean are both great instructors and are always happy to help if you have any questions. It's great for all skill levels whether you're just starting out or have some experience. Everyone that trains at Comet is very friendly and always happy to help work on techniques. I always have fun going to classes and I walk out having learned something new and useful that I am able to implement in my game.

After a year long break from training BJJ, I'm very happy to have found Comet MMA. Travis and Sean run great classes that everyone can benefit from, no matter if you're a beginner or have been training for years. They also have a terrific mix of students to train with. Everyone is welcoming, but when it's time for sparing expect a tough (but friendly) roll! If you have the opportunity, I highly recommend taking a class and seeing for yourself.

This is the best place hands down I have tried out while traveling from Florida to Maryland, and everywhere in between. This gym is full of very experienced individuals along with beginners like myself who are just starting out and I have not felt belittled or intimidated at all by anyone. Everyone is very nice and welcoming here and they push you to be your best. The instructors will take their time to help you with techniques and always have your best interest at heart.
