Great place to strengthen your body and mind through Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Both staff and students are courteous and professional.

I stumbled upon Alpha Krav Maga Hampton Roads while looking for a practical means of getting active and losing weight. After about 5 months I have gotten in much better shape, lost weight and benefitted in ways I hadn’t intended. As most working professionals I take home a great deal of stress and frustration. This stress and frustration dampens time at home and physically weighs on the body. I find that Alpha Krav Maga Hampton Roads has provided an enjoyable and positive outlet for stress relief. Because of this I am able to enjoy time at home and feel more happy overall throughout my week. As an individual who spent most of his early life studying a range of traditional martial arts, I find Alpha Krav Maga Hampton Roads’ “no-nonsense” training and techniques along with their real-world practical applications to be a great fit for those of all experience levels. If you have never done any martial arts, or combative sports in the past, and are looking to learn, do not let inexperience deter you from giving Alpha Krav Maga Hampton Roads a try.

Hard work, but fun, and very practical techniques for self-defense. Has special fitness based classes and specific topic classes like gun disarmament. M-Th night classes and some morning classes.

I have been taking Krav Maga from Mr. Zacharias for a few months now. I was interested in his classes due to the real life application he brings to the classes. Taking in account current events, life situations, and experiences he ensures you understand the fundamentals and form instead of just getting thrown around or having the crap beat out of you like some places. I have throughly enjoyed my time there and can't wait to continue taking classes and learning new things. Highly recommend if your serious about taking classes. Don't waste his time and he won't waste yours! You only get out what you put in!

5starI'll be turning 60 in early 2016 and have been taking Krav Maga from Mr. Zacharias for nearly a year. Even though I am the oldest student in the class, when I step onto the mat and get warmed up I feel like I'm 25 again. For me, it is the Fountain of Youth. The way Mr. Zacharias applies his passion for training is what keeps me looking forward to training 4-5 nights a week. He always advises me to "Pace yourself, Mr. J!" But I feel I must push harder each night in order to stay ahead of Father Time and somehow turn back the biological clock. The conceptual framework of Krav Maga is simple, time tested and easy to learn -- it just works. My previous training in Judo, Tae Kwon Do, Boxing and Full Contact Karate blends in seamlessly with Krav Maga. I don't have the flexibility or the endurance I once had, but my actual fighting skills and ability to inflict quick, effective strikes have improved. In addition to the hard skills I've learned, Mr. Zacharias always takes time to train us on being mentally tough, aware of our surroundings and prepared to deal swiftly with a broad spectrum of challenges. This mental training is just as valuable as the physical aspect, though sometimes harder to grasp depending on one's level of life experience. My only regret is I took too long to make up my mind to pursue Krav Maga training. So glad it is part of my life now. Looking forward to another year of valuable training and improving my level of physical conditioning.
