I highly recommend Fu Saan Kung Fu with Chuck. He is very knowledgeable of the fighting style and works diligently to help each child thrive in Kung Fu. There is an array of activities that the youth can get involve in from "Lion Dances, Parades, to Kung Fu tournaments. Just recently, my 10 year old son took 2nd place at the Kalahari Resort; amongst hundreds of other participating Kung Fu places throughout the nation. Chuck was well respected, and was praised by the judges for having his students versed in stances, techniques, and weapons. One other thing that I like about Chuck is that he teaches his students practical life skills in communication, self control, anger management, and etc. His prices are reasonable, and he'll work with you if you ask.

Poor kung fu place at substantially high price. It's clear to me that the self claimed Si Fu Chuck Carroll has never practiced and learned real kung fu. Most of his training comes from an online correspondence kung fu program.....lol. The whole instructional system of this school looks like a joke. I don't recommend this place at all.

I am a student at the Fu Saan school, though I've not been there for an extremely long time and can provide a non-biased review. True kung fu is taught here, not taekwondo, judo, or beach soccer pretending to be kung fu. Potential students may be discouraged at first because the head Si Fu instructor Chuck Carroll has learned kung fu through the Wing Lam online correspondence program. To them I say: so what? Is there any standard to say somebody cannot learn good kung fu online? Though I agree that Chuck Carroll is a poor instructor who makes a fool of himself by teaching kung fu with his lack of athleticism and skills, I don't discredit this school. The most important thing about this place is there are other instructors who are proficient in their fighting arts and know what they are doing, such as Si Fu John and Sensei Arthur. Also, the people at Fu Saan are very kind and generally entertaining people who seem to care very much for their art and themselves, and are always willing to help newer students who don't know exactly what they are doing. If you could judge a martial arts school based on the morale and spirit of its students and instructors, this place would get a 10/10.
