I started in Aug 2011. Martial arts was something I always wanted to try but it took me signing my daughter up to get me started. I now have an addiction on must feed on a regular basis. The group of people at this DoJang are a family and welcome all who want to be a part of it. I encourage everyone to try it out!

A very warm and welcoming atmosphere. They offer a wide variety of material including joint manipulation, meditation and breathing exercises, weapons, take-downs, ground-fighting, sparring, kumdo (bamboo sword fighting) and a strong traditional curriculum of kicks, strikes, forms and two-person techniques. I'm 5'2" and female, and I was surprised to find out that I could bring guys twice my size to their knees with the flick of a wrist. A very effective martial art and worth a try. Classes are available for anyone from the age of 4 on up.

Exercising for a Reason. I started Tae Soo Do, the beginner program of Hwa Rang Do, as a way to get back into shape, and quickly became entranced by the diversity of techniques and material to learn, even at the beginner level. I never get bored, and there is always more to learn. Instructors and other students provide a family atmosphere with plenty of encouragement to go beyond my limitations.
