Ki Nagare is a fantastic family of like minded martial artists all dedicated to your success. The instructors are experienced, talented, and incredibly helpful. If you're looking for a group to help you improve your health, sharpen existing skills, or build new skills with confidence and kindness, look no further.

My son and I have been part of this dojo for almost 2 years now. If you're looking for a cozy small town martial arts center that aims to teach effective self defense with the ultimate goal of minimizing injury to an attacker/assailant, then this is a great dojo. The classes are informal and very hands-on; the class schedule is flexible with lots of different formats-- it's a lot of fun attending the family/kids classes with my nearly 7 year old son, we get to roll around together and practice techniques to keep us safe.

I came to Ki Nagare from another local gym so I had some experience and knowledge of the Brazilian Jiu-jitsu game. Upon showing up, I was warmly welcomed by the members and the instructors and really given a first rate orientation to how classes are run and the like. There is a genuine passion with the instructors to promote the martial arts and to really focus on the student's and what they want to accomplish and learn from their time. Classes are focused and guided but also open forums for different ideas and questions and there is a nice motivation associated with rolling and drilling different sequences. It's very much a family like environment and very accepting of new people, when members have bbqs or house projects, the invitation goes out to everyone and is open doors. Another thing that stands out is how open the owners and instructors are to talk about pricing options and not be salesmen about the classes and packages, it's less about making money and more about bringing that unified love and appreciation for the martial arts to the community.

Learning Aikido with Ki Nagare Dojo had been the experience I had hoped learning a martial art would be. It is a safe and supportive atmosphere to learn and practice for kids and adults. It has been a very enriching experience being a part of this dojo and the greater Aikido family.

Jason Tucker teaches a very practical form of aikido. The movements are taught to be efficient with heavy emphasis on individual safety. He brings a calm and methodical teaching style to his classes. The children's classes emphasize correct body movement and utilize games to teach children how to dodge attacks. My son has been a student for the past five years and began wrestling this year. He has taken to the sport quickly because of his aikido foundation. The family class allows parents to participate with their children and to drill with other adults. The Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class is one year old. The BJJ portion of the school is a Rigan Machado affiliate. The grappling coach is Cody Strey. Cody approaches instruction with a genuine passion for grappling. Sparring is available from day 1 with emphasis placed on skill development and strategy. A family class is also available for parents who want to train with their children. Wrestlers would benefit from cross training with us in the off season. I highly recommend this school to anyone interested in martial arts and self defense in Marshfield.
