I highly recommend Villari's school on Sheppard Ave. W., North York. My 11 years old son is attending this school since he was 5, and now his 5 year old little brother also joined the classes. Master Greg has established a unique environment where students of all ages enjoy learning and practicing self-defense and at the same time become spiritually and mentally stronger. As great Martial Arts professional and true enthusiast, Master Greg offers his students an extraordinary personalized experience which can help them achieve their lifelong goals. Thank you Master Greg!

This is a perfect place for kids and adult to learn self-defense skills and karate for a couple of reasons. First the instructor is an expected black belt master for over 30 years; second he knows every well about every his student in term of the progress and when they are ready for a test to move up to the next level; and third most important one is the master loves what he’s doing, teaching karate. Both of my children are students there for a couple of years and I definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a self-defense skills and karate place!

Learning martial arts, through practical application and through the philosophy of Shaolin Kempo Karate, has helped me, personally and professionally as an artist, to develop many attributes, including; self regulation, discipline of the mind/body/spirit, mindful breathing, self defense, and much more. Greg Tal also taught my two sisters and my two children. It feels like a lifelong friendship that started 20 plus years ago. A journey I honour and respect!

Hi, I am a senior in my 70s learning practical self defense at Villari's Self Defense in North York, Ontario, Canada. Under the mentor-ship of Master Greg and other instructors I, -Exercise my body; -Stimulate my mind; -Socialize with peers; -Practice useful self defense skills. I share the opinion that one of the most important aspect of one’s martial arts journey is the choice of a good instructor(s) that can inspire in the quest for excellence and continuous self-improvement. Master Greg: • Loves what he does. He is passionate about helping his students improve; • Has a deep knowledge of martial arts, techniques he shows in class; • Knows How to motivate students with approval, guidance and challenges; • Helps to set goals whether they are short or long term; • Shows students that mutual respect will help them develop the best of their abilities; • Knows how to have fun, when to laugh or tell a joke; • Knows how to adapt a technique for people with different learning abilities. Thank you Master Greg for your mentor-ship. Respectfully, Tino Bisceglia
