I enjoy coming to the dojo Mondays and Saturdays. I highly recommend taking your kids here at a young age so they can learn and understand it.

The instructors are committed and do an excellent job of engaging all of the children. There are always multiple instructors working with the children as a group and in subgroups to ensure they are always active, engaged and having their instructional needs met. This is an excellent karate school and we highly recommend it! The level of instruction is second to none and well worth the cost. Our son loves it!

Sensei Stan and his staff are excellent and a joy to work with. My son has gone from a shy little boy that couldn't make a sound when someone approached him to a confident loud young man! I was so impressed I had to join the dojo myself :--) Definitely great for families.

This is any incredible dojo! If you are searching for an authentic martial arts experience look no further. They are a black belt school with multiple sensei at varying degrees of black belt. They take sharing their knowledge very personally, with an emphasis on respect and focus while still having fun. Students learn the principles of Karate and the history of this rich martial art along with their physical training. Belt tests are only given when students are ready physically and mentally. Rank promotions are not given “just for because” but are based on how well a student has practiced and mastered certain techniques. For larger classes there are always plenty of assistants on hand to help students in need or to work with smaller groups on various techniques. Teaching young children the ability to focus during class and to have respect for the space, themselves and others translates to all other aspects of their lives. Our son has been a student of Sensei Stan for almost a year and loves it. His focus as school improved so much it was brought to our attention at his parent teacher conference. His confidence and self-esteem has improved along with his agility. We are so happy to have found the Okinawan Karate Dojo in our search to enrich our son's life.

This is an amazing dojo. I highly recommend this to others looking for a positive and fun environment to learn self defense. Sensei Stan leads the group with his great sense of humor and technical skills. All of the Sensei's are respectful and caring. My son stated training here 6 years ago and has developed self confidence, strength and the ability to defend himself if ever needed. My daughter has also been a member for now for a year. They do an excellent job with girls as well. I also know several adults who train here. This is a great dojo for all ages.
