This place is NOT honest. As you can see, K. Berry who WORKS there, who acts like she owns the place, has given THREE five star reviews, G. Coleman who also works there did it too, and the owner also did it. I've posted several reviews here only to have them removed. I decided to put three stars to see if it will stay. They wanted me to work there, but Kim Berry said, "why would I pay you when I can get the parents to work for free?" They pay Google to keep only good reviews!!! HUGE turnaround. Please see my review on YELP. Yelp does not allow businesses to pay to have reviews removed like Google allows. If this company did not make parents sign contracts, people would NOT stay. They get you to sign and then nickel and dime you to death! People are afraid to post bad reviews. Hopefully, this review will not be removed. I'm not afraid anymore. Kim Berry is very intimidating!

Too many staff changes. They ask for money to"get more out of the program and avoid boredom". To busy trying to constantly sign new people then to retain the customers they have. Not much consistency at all. My kids did like it but got bored from the repeated lessons. They offered a leadership program, at the price of a luxury SUV, to fix the boredom problem. They also think that this is reasonable. Sign up for the program but it doesnt pay for the uniform or the weapons. Oh and don't forget about enrollment fees. If I didnt feel like they tried to nickle and dime me to the poor house and kept consistent staff then we would have stayed.

Our 5 year old did about 6 months of taekwondo here. Some of the instructors are great! Some... not so much. My biggest drawback to this place is that it seems to be a constant money pit. Every 8 weeks the kids need new gear, a new weapon, etc. They don't even spend much time teaching the weapons but they have to own them. It felt like they were just making up reasons for us to pay them more money. I like the concept of teaching life skills to the kids. But I don't feel like all the people there are a good example of those values. For a place that's supposed to be anti-bullying, I've seen parents bullying their children there, and even the owner treating children and parents rudely. Overall, my kid had a good experience. He was oblivious to the negative stuff I wrote on here. His coach was fantastic and he gained confidence and discipline. But personally I'm over it.

Jamie is very shy and petite. I wanted a place that would give her the confidence she needs to overcome a bully if that was to happen. I am not disappointed at all. She is steadily becoming more secure in herself and self esteem. The Stranger Danger training is an excellent bonus. Every child needs to learn that! The instructors take time for every child.

This has turned out to be way more than I expected it to be!! Originally I had looked into ATA as an extra curricular activity as well as a way for my daughter to learn how to defend herself. It has become so much more for us. The way that self confidence is highly encouraged and integrity is implemented is amazing!! I am so grateful that we found such a great encouraging martial arts family to be apart of!
