A great place to start and a very different school from what I began with and had experience with. If you are beginning or have children that you want an extra curricular activity for, it's worth the try. I enjoyed my year here, though I had my shares of ups and downs and differences of opinion, but took everything that I could get as a pupil. I stress to all, development is yours and yours alone, learn from the Sobums but train off-site on your own to enhance what they teach you. Some will earn their black belt here and there are some that will be handed it based on tenure.

Beware!! You are required to lock into a contract with steep cancellation fees. It's an easy place to earn a black belt and as long as you pay attention, you can learn some technique but will need to add some self development to gain in-depth skills. Not bad for a foundation to persuit later skills. The instructors are knowledgeable and Experienced, however they tailor to children and seem to treat all students as if they are inept. They don't do traditional tournaments and the one they do are a feel good everyone gets a medals tournament. (although it is for charity) I've met whiney students there and the place tends to turn into Kiddie Kingdom. Some good perks, nice place, friendly staff, and most bang for your buck when it comes to class dates and times. But it's a Russian roulette when it comes to the training plan. Try it out for the $20 class but prepare for kiddie corral and soccer mom(s).

Great place to train, knowledgeable instructors. The skills one receives, will be that of what you invest into. You can buy a black belt and know nothing or earn it by rigorous practice and training. Here the self-defense application aspect is watered down due to the high volume of children/minors. However, they do great siminars and adult training from time to time. Overall a great place to begin.

Tried this place out a while ago and although the instruction is decent and the instructors were nice it seemed like one big hard sell to me. They are all about recruiting new students ALL the time. Now this is a business and I can understand that but using kids to recruit by dangling prizes as a reward is kind of lame. Also, Two kids cost as much as a car payment and that is before all the add-on equipment costs if you want them in a tourney.

The instructors are awesome and truly care about their students and the students success. We love coming here and recommend this location to anyone (young or older) that is interested in martial arts. Wonderful experience!
