We have had 4 children experience SPHDS and it has been an excellent school, with a beautiful Jewish foundation and a caring attitude to all students. I would absolutely recommend this school to any prospective student.

I graduated SPHDS in 2016, and I REALLY didn't want to leave. If SPHDS has a high school, within a heartbeat, I would join it. I have a good foundation of jewish knowledge that will last me through the years. I can speak hebrew very well. My writing skills have obtained a level I wouldn't have thought possible. My math was a little rusty this year, due to going at a very slow rate at the start of the year, but as soon as the teachers realized what was happening, they solved our dilemma. Yes, SPHDS has it's problems, but so does every other private school in the U.S.! If there is one year I recommend going to SPHDS, it's 8th grade. Your classmates will immediately make you feel like you've been a student at SPHDS since Room 1. You will see a diversity like no other. By now, every student has grown comfortable with who they are, and are not afraid to let you see that. Every person is unique. Do not worry about 'fitting in', because no one does. There isn't one specific category you have to fall under. You can be an artist, you can love sports, you can be chassidic, you could barely know what Judaism is! You can be ANYONE, and there is no social standards you are held up to by your classmates. The best ten days of my life did not happen at SPHDS, but in Israel. Would you believe it? I got to spend ten days in a foreign country, with my closest friends (my classmates), and some really cool tour guide and chaperons. We went EVERYWHERE! We hiked, shopped, volunteered, visited important sites, prayed by the hotel, and so on! The best part was the longer bus rides. You got to be as wacky as possible, and just do what you wanted to do. Being in 8th grade has its perks, and trust me, there is no funner school! I thank my parents tremendously for sending me to this school! For the younger kids, at first it will be hard to adapt. Sometimes elementary school kids can be brutal, but you WILL adapt! You will find yourself a family, and a home away from home. I can't thank SPHDS enough for being incredible. If you are thinking about going to South Peninsula, then you need to apply, right now, because you won't regret it. I know I have never, and will never, regret it. I love SPHDS with all my heart, and it deeply saddens me to leave. Every year SPHDS just gets better, and though I won't be a student there, I'll be watching the progress. Please apply to SPHDS. This note took me a long time to write, but if I can convince at least one person to apply to Sphds, this note will be worth it. Parents, if you want your child to be happy, you know where to send them. Thank you SPHDS, and I hope you continue to grow.

Excellent school!!! My kid loves it and comes home so happy every day! The staff are great! They are very nurturing and dedicated to the kids. When you're at SPHDS you feel part of one big warm family.
