In my opinion Corner stone academy high school is in a very good location. I think the teachers are great. I really love this school. The small class rooms allow the teacher and student to gain a personal relationship and help you to learn. At this school there is so many hands on learning experiences from the field trips, to assembling fake human skeletons piece by piece, to painting in art class, this school is a fun learning experience. I think Any religion or any race would love to go to this school. I also think they would have a much better learning experience at this school then any other school in the city. I feel strongly about this because of the size of class rooms and caring nature of the staff. The staff at corner stone is very experienced and they treat you as equals. I attended 4 different high schools and I struggled through the day, I could never seem to get along with any of the younger teachers they were just out of place, immature, and just people who shouldn't be able to teach. I got bad grades and I almost dropped out. I know that cornerstone turned that around they made me the man I am today. I am currently working as a union carpenter and I would like to see more kids attend this great school. Thank you Cornerstone.

Two years ago, I had the pleasure of being invited to a benefit for Cornerstone Academy by a friend. I was so impressed by the personalized nature of this school – the committed staff, the community that rallies around and supports the school, and the students who have been given another chance at success and have warmly embraced it. Cornerstone accepts students who are at risk of failing out of a public, as well as private, high school setting. They are small, enabling a personalized approach to education. It’s not an exaggeration when I say that I couldn’t help but feel like the work being done at Cornerstone was similar to the popular movie Freedom Writers. It was just a very real example of committed and passionate teachers helping students fight through what could be, for many, a difficult high school experience.
