On 5/31/16 I had a procedure done at this facility. I had cohesive implants put in 7/08. I have been suspecting a possible rupture in at least one of my implants. Being that they were gel, there is only two ways to know for sure if they are intact ruptured. 1. MRI 2. Removal. My suppositions were strong and I decided I wanted them out. I was told that it was not a problem and that I could get the implants back so that I could see them with my own eyes weather or not there was an issue. Apparently Paradise Valley Cosmetic Surgery Center had a recent change in policy that my surgeon was unaware of. NO WHERE in the paperwork that PV cosmetic center provided me said anything about a policy change, and that they are no longer willing to give patients back their old implants. I am ANGRY, and I feel both violated and ROBBED! I paid a great deal of money for those implants. I went through a great deal of mental anguish on what I should or shouldn't do in terms of removing them. Now I will never know for certain if they were in fact bad. I had 2 years of warranty left on them which would have meant monies back to cover the procedure. Implants are laying all over plastic surgeons offices. They are not a dangerous medical hazard. (once cleaned) Thousands of women have chosen to keep their old implants, and I have NEVER read any reviews were it was an issue for them to do so. If Paradise Valley Cosmetic Surgery Center had put this policy into their paperwork I would have chosen to have my surgery done elsewhere!!
