I could not recommend Dr Massry enough! He is the absolute BEST. Not only is he the most skilled, but he truly cares about you - not just as a patient, but as a person. I have been to multiple surgeons, and he is the only one I feel like I could wholeheartedly trust. I am so so thankful I found him. I would 110% percent recommend him for your optometry needs!

Dr. Massry's expertise and professionalism is extraordinary. I consulted with him for an orbital floor fracture injury. Every ENT doctor wanted to perform a surgery right away. Dr. Massry told me the possibility that surgery might not be necessary or even more risky. It's turned out self-healing did much of the work. I really liked his honesty and experienced opinions.

Since January my eyes have been swollen and we couldn't figure out what was wrong. For a month & a half I was on a heavy dosage of steroids which was not fun and not working. When I left that doctor and went to see Dr. Massry everything started to take a turn for better! As soon as I sat down on my first visit he was able to go down a list of things it could of been & narrowed it down quickly to what the main causes would be. We did a biopsy of my tear duct right away, ordered blood tests and a CT scan right away. As you could image someone would be terrified to hear they need a biopsy when they didn't prepare for it but Dr. Massry and Anna make me feel so comfortable; I knew I was in the right hands. 2 weeks later my eyes have gone down and I look normal again! I am not a big one for medicine and I appreciate that Dr. Massry did everything to get me off of the oral steroid ASAP where other doctors push you to stay on it. Dr. Massry and his staff are amazing. If they are not in the office they make themselves available via. email. Anna made sure to follow up with me whenever she received an update or to remind me to send documents for them. I am beyond happy I made the switch and started seeing Dr. Massry. He knows what he is doing and would highly recommend him.

I live in Boston, home to some excellent medical care, so why did I travel to California to see Dr. Massry? I had what I thought was simple eye surgery from a top plastic surgeon at Mass General. However, he took too much skin and my eyes wouldn’t close, causing cosmetic and functional damage. I spent almost 10 years trying to have this repaired and the functional problems (e.g. dry eye) remediated. I had three more surgeries and countless visits to eye specialists. All of them were “top notch” Boston doctors. All of them charged a lot of money, none of them fixed the problems. And went it didn’t work, they said they did their best, but there was no way to fix my problem—I was beyond repair. Then someone told me about Dr. Massry and I did some research. He specializes in the hardest cases, often fixing botched surgeries. I made the trip to California and, stated simply, he finally fixed my eyes both cosmetically and functionally. And he did it with both expertise and compassion for the shame I felt for all of the bad decisions I had made. I am not exaggerating to say this changed my life: I don’t spend every day putting artificial tears and ointment in my eyes; I am not embarrassed when I look in the mirror. I would say if you have something you need repaired, go to him FIRST and don’t go to doctors that don’t specialize in fixing difficult problems. He is, in my view, a miracle worker.

Just want to thank Dr. Massry for the incredible experience my mom had with him during and after surgery. He was very attentive throughout the whole process. My mom had bilateral blepharoplasty. I would highly recommend Dr. Massry.
