I'm really hoping that this review will save someone from having the same negative experience I had at this office. If I could go back in time and not get my breasts redone at this office, I would! When I first met Dr. Mabourakh, I felt confident that he could refresh my previous breast augmentation that I had done 9 years previously by a different Dr. I picked Dr. M because of the symmetry I saw in his post op photos. Also, he had a video on his website explaining why he loved the plastic surgery business, because he can help people. In the video, he talks about helping a little girl who was kicked in the face by a horse and how he remembered her years later when her and her mom came back into his office. I thought, that's nice. He seemed to genuinely are about his patients. I was so wrong! At my consultation, we discussed what he could do for me. He said it would be an easy surgery. I told him I wanted to stick with saline implants. At my preop, he says we are going to do silicone implants- I corrected him and said saline. My chart was right there in front of his face, but he didn't seem to even read it. The day of surgery, Dr. M came in to go over my surgery. He again mentioned that we would be doing silicone implants. I corrected him yet again. I was seriously worried by this point. I should've gotten up and walked out, because I was beginning to feel like just another number on his paycheck or a name on a chart. But, I decided to go through with the surgery. I take 100% percent accountability for making that decision. After my surgery, I felt lopsided.I mentioned this to the Dr. M 3 days after my surgery. He told me that it's normal. As months passed, I still felt lopsided. I emailed the staff numerous times expressing my concerns. My left side felt floppy and my right was tight. They kept telling me I'm too fresh from surgery and need to wait 6 months to see the final results. At my 2 month post op, I expressed these same concerns to the doctor. I also noticed that I had a dimple on the inside of my left breast when I bent over. He said that, although silicone implants ripple less, they can still ripple. I had to remind him AGAIN that I had saline NOT silicone-come on, just pick up my chart and read it! He said I was still early in the healing process and by 6 months he was confident I would be happy with the results, but we discussed the possible option of tightening my left pocket and filling it with a bit more saline. At my 5.5 month appt last week I told Dr. M my SAME concerns. Also, I brought up that although we agreed on surgery day to go through my previous incisions, he made the left incision in a different spot. He moved it forward from my previous one which created a gap of space between my incision and breast fold. I believe this is what created the loose pocket, because my right incision is in the same spot it was last time. He didn't explain why he did this. He just said yes. I asked him if we could do the option discussed at our last appt. He became dramatic. He said if he tightened the pocket my left side would be much higher. He took my left side and raised it much higher than what a slightly tightened pocket would do to the implant. I'm not the doctor, but I wasn't talking about wanting to do a full on lift. He said he could put a bigger implant in, but it would be too big.I just wanted my left side filled to the similar amount of my right since my right was filled 20ccs more than my left! By this point, I got the feeling that this was all about him losing money. I would just have to pay for the surgery room for this fix and not pay for his and his assistants' salaries/time. This is when I knew he could care less about his patients. He then goes on and says he believes I have a mild case of scoliosis. What?! NEVER once has any doctor told me this. Wouldn't this be something for him to mention when we first met?? But no, he mentions it when I'm not happy with my surgery results. This guy doesn't care about his patients. Please avoid this place!
