Don’t waste your time coming here or with him. Upon getting my surgery (360 lipo/bbl), his nurse basically kicked me out my recovery room because she was off at a certain time!!! This is fuckin unprofessional! She kept going in and out of my room asking me what time was I going to get picked up bc her shift was done at 9am and it was about 7:30/8am!! Keep in mind, No one ever told me the time I would be discharged or anything & I was freshly out from my surgery. I decided to get dressed (ON MY OWN, bleeding and all) and make my way out of the hospital. At this point I knew she knew I was very upset. When I got downstairs, I called DR Gustavo & he did not answer. I then text him about the incident and he responded HOURS later apologizing and saying that the nurse had given me a time frame in which I was going to be released. THIS IS A COMPLETE LIE. About 2 weeks passed and I texted him again regarding my stitch removal. HE NEVER BOTHERED TO REPLY TO ME. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME!!!!

Dr. Gustavo Yanez (Cosmetic and Plastic Surgeon) provided subpar medical treatment from beginning to end. - His team did not send me pre-operative instructions which are designed to improve the outcome of the surgery, decrease the risk for complications, and make the surgery as safe and effective as possible. - After many requests for the pre-operative instructions, I received a thrown-together list, the day before my travel to Dr. Yanez’s site. As the list had things on it that needed to/ not to happen 2 weeks prior to the surgery, I wasn’t able to adequately prepare. - The customer service was terrible. Examples: The shuttle pick up at the airport was over an hour late, they hotel they put me in had major construction throughout, and much more (see below). - Dr. Yanez increased the price for the procedure by $500. - When I was going into surgery, I was told that it was “safe” to leave my personal items in my recovery room. However, my things were riffled through and my work tablet was stolen. Dr. Yanez questioned me several times about the issue. Initially they suggested a police report…but then advised against it. Stating they would file it on my behalf and replace the tablet… but they didn’t. - I did not receive post-operative instructions which are designed to ensure that recovery is going normal/ safe, in addition to informing about any contraindications that can lead to crisis. - Dr. Yanez and his staff were non-responsive to my post-operative communications requesting advice when I was having concerning negative symptoms (excessive pain and bleeding) - Dr. Yanez came excessively late (without communicating with me or my caregiver) to all his post-operative appointments. I mean 3-4 hours late! Additioally continued to forget bring key items, to the appointment, that I needed. - Dr Yanez agreed to send my medical notes (pre-blood work up and surgical notes) so that I could give them to my regular doctors…for the purposes of continuity of care. However, he did NOT send them. - Since my return, I went to my regular doctor due to not healing within a timely fashion, feeling excessively fatigued and having excessive pain. The MD informed me that based on the new blood work up, I had apparently lost excessive amounts of blood during the surgery with Dr. Yanez. My MD described that my blood levels were close to needing a blood transfusion. This went unrecognized or ignored by Dr. Yanez. Also my MD was concerned about my wound care (as Dr. Yanez had not given me instruction).
