After spending a year here and spending lots of money, the last time I went I was given a hair color that was not what I discussed. It barely looks like my blonde color had changed at all. I sent a polite email to see what they would do to help me fix it and I had no response for 5 days. When Ricci Salon did reply, they said the hairdresser already contacted me, which she did not. 2 weeks later no one had called me or anything. I just wanted to book again and have it corrected, but clearly Ricci Hair does not care about customers in the case of making things right. Find a different place to go.

I have been a Ricci Jasper Ave customer for years and it is exceptional. Tonight I tried Ricci in St. Albert as I recently moved. Unfortunately it was not a good experience. I had showed my stylist a picture of a dark brown colour with very few low lights. We were in agreement of the look I was going for. Unfortunately, the end result was a black base with dark blond streaks all around. My stylist and I discussed that this was not as per the picture and her manager offered a re-do for another day for a 2-hour colour. Considering I had showed a specific picture, it was not delivered, and a re-do was going to cost me an extra 2 hours, I asked for a 50% discount. A $30 dollar off was offered by her manager, and when they could not be flexible, the manager said I could just pay for the $50 cut. He was polite, but from his handling of this situation, I gather that the customer is not his and the company's first priority, instead it is profitability. It also meant that they did not care if I did not return to this salon ever again. This is unfortunate, as I work for a construction company. When we fail to deliver, we own up, and do take a margin hit or a loss. I would expect the same for the service industry. So tonight, I am disappointed and will not return to Ricci again.
