I've been going here for about 15yrs. I've had many different barbers in that time cut my hair at Lisa's but have yet to have a bad cut. I really like that this is more a family ( and everyone ) inclusive place. Theres a little room in the back for private cutting or threading. I like her cheap prices and her daughters artwork on the wall. I also like how this is a servers that's first come first served . Keep up the good work Lisa.

The Trinidadian barber is very insistent and I really don’t like that. You come up to him with the kind of cut that you want and he’ll strongly suggest his ideas. He did this both times I got my hair cut by him. The second (and most definitely the last) time I went to him, I showed him a picture of the design that I wanted. He told me that it would be better if I get this other design since what I wanted “doesn’t look good once it grows out”. I thought about it, said fine, and asked for a plain cut, with no designs at all. The barber proceeds to give me the design that HE wanted for me (he turned my chair away from the mirror so that I wouldn’t see what he was doing...very slick). I was very annoyed but I just thanked him and paid. Now, I wouldn’t say the haircut looks bad, it’s clean but it just really isn’t what I wanted and I’m not a fan of the way it looks. It doesn’t look good on me. I’ve already been getting stares out in public and let’s just say, it’s not the greatest feeling. Barbers shouldn’t be insistent and definitely shouldn’t give a customer a haircut with a design if they asked for a plain cut. Barbers should only give their ideas if the customer asks “what do you think?”, “what would you suggest?” or if the haircut requested isn’t a possibility. Just LISTEN to the customer! I’ll be getting my haircuts elsewhere. Is it really that hard to be a skilled, respectful and ATTENTIVE barber?

Affordable, atypically convenient availability. Received a great haircut on a Monday early afternoon. I'm a very happy customer! ... 'less than state of the art aesthetics!
