Went here for years with usually Good results, but the huge ego on the super snobby owner made it to where I'll never go back. God forbid you have kids and miss a single appointment. Just one. I have 4 kids, three still in diapers, 1 with special needs. So instead of dragging them all into this tiny little Shop to wreak havoc, I tried to find a babysitter. After much coaxing I finally did. Got all set up to go to the ridiculously inconvenient 9am appt THEY chose for me, and my daughter starts puking at school. Yay so I call them up sorry i have to cancel. It's such a hassle for me to put this on that I don't even try to reschedule. Nearly a year passes and I go back looking to correct my color again. I get told by the owner using exact words here," I could but I wont touch your hair, I'm far too important and far too much in demand to waste my time with people who can't be bothered to show up to their appointments". Then she proceeds to inform me that she would only consider cutting my long hair off to like two inches short (sarcastically) otherwise to get out of her salon. So I did. I missed ONE appointment, a year ago, which i cancelled as soon as i knew i wasnt going to make it. Does this chick seriously memorize the faces of every person who misses an appointment so she can be rude to them on the off chance they ever come back? Great business practice here... I went into the salon that day with my friend (who witnessed this in horror) several hundred dollars saved up and the entire day to spend. I left with a clear understanding of why another friend stopped going there. There was only one person getting her hair cut in the whole salon and this sort of treatment seems to explain that. Unless, I guess, I just missed all those high profile clients flying in from all of the world to get their hair done by the 'super important and high demand' elderly lady cutting hair in Soldotna?! Oh well. It's a shame their isn't like 10 other hair salons local that would love to take my money and maybe not act so stuck up. oh wait, yeah... there is... so maybe she can get over herself before she looses even more clients.
