There are no words to describe how happy I am with my new cut and color. My trip to salon 38 today was expensive but it was worth every damn penny. It took a long time but if you want something done right that’s the way it has to be. If you’re getting your hair done at any other place, you shouldn’t be. Salon 38 should be where everyone gets their hair done. Kylee and the owner really listen to you and let you be yourself. They provide excellent service. They go above and beyond. 💇‍♀️

Unpleasant experience, Owner was unprofessional. The first picture is what I asked for the picture on the right. is how he left me. Regardless of all the excuses he has he didn’t recreate this look it was not one bit close to what I asked for. Anything close to this I would have been content with. After speaking to 3 salons they all stated that toning would NOT be an option to get the look I asked for. He asked me to give it a day and I did. He wanted me to come in the day after for toning which I was told wouldn’t fix my hair according to 3 professional consultations I did. I looked at my hair in natural light it was orange and burnt. He truly believes he can properly balayage but sadly he DOES NOT. I kindly asked for a refund and he refused because I didn’t let him fix the problem well of course, I wouldn’t let him touch my hair who would after how he left me. FYI he was unhelpful on colors and I chose light blonde colors. He didn’t bleach some pieces because I wanted to avoid bleach as a professional he could have said I can’t get these light colors on you without bleach. Another reason why my hair turned out orange. Another reason I got this fixed at another salon was because they said you’re hair is so dark those light areas needed to be bleached. As a professional he was clueless. He could of at least returned a portion either way he believed I didn’t ask for a balayage and he believes what he did was a proper balayage look at the picture in the right. I could have done that with a box of color from Walgreens. Proof enough is in the pictures. He kept the 125$ and 125$ got me what’s on the right. The new salon needed to correct his mistakes it costed a total of 220$ to get my hair fixed and the 125$ he firmly believes he was entitled to. He didn’t provide service. Sorry! And let’s not forget he insulted me. I won’t disclose this because I refuse to be angry and spiteful. But he called me a bully and called me out because I didn’t want to let him fix my hair sorry but he was so unprofessional. Calling me names because I requested to be refunded. I’ll post a beautiful picture of what I got done at the Fringe of Lombard. Picked out a whole new balayage to fix the ugly he left me with. But look at the beauty of a proper balayage.
