I had been there before over a year ago to get Senegalese twists. I was satisfied with my experience and my hair. So because of that reason I made an appointment to get my daughter's hair twisted. I was told that they were going to be open on MLK holiday. I made the appointment and was told to call two days before appointment day to confirm. I called, got voicemail, and left a message. I called the day of appointment and no answer. We took a chance and went to the shop and the blinds were down. In the snow and cold my daughter and I stood outside calling and hoping someone would show up. I ended up having to go somewhere else that morning that was close by and fortunately the second shop gladly took my daughter as a client. I didn't hear anything from Mimi's even though I left two voicemail messages with my number included. I called them the next day and after days of getting voicemail I finally talked with someone. I was told that there was some emergency she had and she apologized. I felt that I should have been called and told that my appointment had been cancelled and given the option to reschedule; not just be left hanging. They've lost my business.

She's AMAZING. I love her ❤ She's been my braider for 6 years now. Her prices are reasonable, she's very professional, she's fast and her work is very beautiful. One of the great things is if you're a regular, you get special prices and discounts. You should note that she only does hair on Sunday by appointments.

VERY VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. The owner was very rude and told me she couldn't do my hair a certain way but I went to another African shop right down the street & they did exactly what she told me I couldn't get.
